winusb and Device not found
« on: September 21, 2012, 10:36:26 am »
Hi There,

I am using windows 7, WinUSB demo (available from http://www.janaxelson.com/winusb.htm).

The issue I have is my device when i plug it into my laptop is recognised and tried to install the driver, at this point i install the winusb driver and it works perfectly in the sense of what i can see though device management.

Device Status: This device is working properly

When i come to use the WinUSB demo, i keep getting error message "Device not found". I have used the GUID from the device manager properties
Device class guid and the Bus type guid

neither work, i just wondered if anyone has any ideas as to what is happening.

the device i am plugging in is one i made myself and coded myself, is it possible i can have a set of features that windows accepts so device manager works but winusb dont?

thanks

The GUID should match the ClassGUID in your device's INF file.
