Parallel port resets while my system resets.

Dear Sir,

I have connected one of the data pins of the parallel port to control a relay.

The relay goes ON and OFF while system resets.

How can i avoid this.Any solution from you will be appreciated.

Dear Sir,

Also today i noted my parallel port clicks when the system shuts down.

Use a latch such as a 74HCT374 to enable the outputs and latch the data.
