Comms program funny.....

Hi All,

I have written a comms program using C# and modded it for a new board the company I work for has produced I did notice an oddity (the incoming message light flashed on the board) I then ran AGG soft's Advanced Serial Port Monitor and found the character 16C was being sent when the port was closed and to top it all my PC did a proper power off reset which was logged in Event Viewer as a System Error.  I am wondering if this could be due to the board or the comm port on my (elderly) PC.  I dont think its the comm software as I have used this program I wrote with multiple PC in multiple envoirments.  Has anyone ever experienced something similar using AGG Advance Serial Port Monitor 3.85 Build 25??

Update been to http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms681382.aspx to look up error code, now "semaphore is &set cannot be closed"  urm any ideas anyone I always though semaphore went out with radio? anything to do with the handshake lines....

Mmmm, just had another power/crash it appears as though if you open ASP in spy mode without any other code running it gives the following
