C#, Mac, HID - Where to start?

I am going to begin the port to Mac soon, and I'm having a hard time picking a good starting point.  It is hard to tell what libraries are still active, and which have fallen to the wayside.

If it influences your suggestion, we do not currently have plans for Linux support... but marketing loves changing its mind.

For Mac specific stuff you should subscribe to the USB mailing list of Apple:
