One PC works other doesn't Why?
« on: August 29, 2017, 03:04:28 pm »
On our production shop floor we have two identical Windows7 machines.
Same hardware, same build of Windows ect.
No new software on it and any Windows Updates should have happened to both PCs if any.

In the last few days one of the machines won't accept our HID devices.
Getting errors like "Driver not found" and "Device not recognized" when plugging them in as they seem to flash in and out of existence on that PC.

Move our HID hardware, cables and all, to other PC and work just fine, as this PC did until a couple of days ago.
Tried different ports on the problem PC etc.

We have removed the HID devices with Devcon etc and the problem persists when plugging back in.

Anyone have any insights here to getting the PC working again?

Well that is a puzzler. I'm sure you've rebooted. Maybe the SetupApi log file has a clue?
