IC designation
« on: February 28, 2012, 11:31:00 am »
Hi all, new here.
Congrats for your forum.

Need some help in an IC identification.
Can see on this chip the following designation:
MSH4
CTG
XNVUK

We are supposing it as an USB controller, but cannot find any info about it.
This IC is working on a board with a DAC; MCP4821E, and need to some work around it...
Thanks in advance.

Sorisa SA.

Well, it's made by Freescale (previously Motorola). To my recollection the last grouping of letters was very typical of designations for custom programmed microcontrollers. The trick then was to go through data sheets and check for ones in the same package, then check for obvious pin locations like crystals and power supplies.
