How to reset Over Current Errors?

I use a DELL PC for USB development.  I've accumulated four ports that have disabled themselves with "Device caused over-current" and shutdown the ports.
Is there a way to reset these ports?

Googling tells me to do things like reinstall Windows and pull cables, none of which are relevant or will not happen (not reinstalling Windows because of this).
Powering down the unit (physically unplug the power cable from the back) does not reset these ports.

It's possible the port hardware was damaged by the overcurrent.
