USB Audio

Hi

I have been tasked to design a system that use the AES10 (MADI) standard and interfaces it to USB. This standard uses multiple channels of Audio. Does USB Audio allow multiple channels to be sent across USB? Are there any good references on this subject? My knowledge of USB audio is not great so any pointers would be appreciated.

If you can use something off the shelf, this product claims to do 48 channels:

The review says that it comes with a host driver, which suggests you would need to provide driver software if you design your own device.

I don't know of any references for designing such a device other than starting with the USB audio-class spec. I believe all Windows editions still support USB audio 1.0 only.

I need to develop my own device. Its interesting that you say that Windows doesn't support v2 as I didn't realize that. I have started reading the spec. Thanks anyway.
