Title: USB 3.0 training sequence times out
Post by: Dinesh on April 15, 2014, 05:23:43 pm
Hi,
I have observed that the LFPS reset is eventually the result of timeout that happens during training ( TS1 and TS2), hence Recovery.config->SS.Inactive and Recovery.Active->SS.Inactive states are entered.
Is it correct to assume that timeout during training happens because of bad signal quality (i.e. signal integrity issues )?
or Could there be any other reasons ?

Best regards,
Dineshkumar M.

Its a long time since I was looking at SuperSpeed. The most likely problem is signal integrity. There may be other issues, but I can't remember specifics currently.
