Title: usb3.0 : Lopback.Exit LFPS and Warm Reset
Post by: chris.chang on August 02, 2010, 10:34:55 pm
Hi all,
I have a question regarding to the Loopback.Exit and WarmReset.
      In sec7.5.11.3.2 Exit from Loopback.Exit,

      1. An upstream port shall transition to Rx.Detect when WarmReset is detected.
      2. The loopback slave shall transition to Loopback.Exit upon detection of Loopback.Exit LFPS exit handshake.

In other words, designs has to distinguish Loopback.Exit and Warmreset in P0 under this state.
But from the view point of pipe interface, there's not enough information to distinhuish from them.
Does anyone have more ideas about how this works?

      Thanks in advance.
BR,
Chris

From a quick look at the spec, it appears that loopback exit has a shorter timeout value.
